Continous BleacherThe bleaching section is designed for the total cleanup operation as this forms the most important process in the refining process. The plant is designed to have Slurry preparation, Bleaching, Filtration and Cooling to prepare the oil for storage temperature operations.
The bleaching chemical is mixed with oil at 80
oC and kept at this temperature for brief period to absorb the color pigment and than at elevated temperature 110
oC for sufficient long time to absorb the all other impurities & color pigments.
De- Waxing SectionDe- waxing refers to the removal of high melting point waxes extracted from oil seeds . while the wax does not negatively affect the functionality of products the presence of wax does affect the appearance of product . De - waxing system that has invariably proved effective & efficient is to reduce the temperature down to 23to 24 degree Celsius with in cooling & maturing tanks known as crystallizers and then filtered out the wax crystals either in a Rotary drum vacuum filter or in filter presses made out of polypropelin plate & frame filters.
Deacidification Cum DeodoriserThe deacidification system is designed on the theory of mild heating evaporation where the thermic fluid temperature is kept to very close of FFA evaporation temperature hence the chance of localized high heating and charring is avoided. Also the evaporation first and retention latter is the basis of the thin falling film evaporation. The oil once stripped off of the FFA is reheated to just maintain the temperature loss due to evaporation, which is must to deodorize the oil properly.
